Latest Requirements | Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) have recently updated their
guidelines for advertising prescription medicines in Australia. Therefore, as a cosmetic injectables clinic we are no longer able to make reference to the 'prescription based' substances used for cosmetic injectable treatments - such as "anti wrinkle" and or, "dermal filler" in any kind of advertising, marketing material or social media content. We can no longer post before and after photos that infer a prescription only treatment. We can no longer use or post on social media sites any references or testimonials pertaining to ' 'prescription based' injectable treatments.
HOWEVER, We can use language such as "consultation to discuss the appearance of wrinkles" and "consultation to discuss volume depletion.
This may be very confusing in the short term. Please do not hesitate to message us directly if you are
unsure. Safety is paramount to us at Alpha Cosmetic Clinic.
Because We Care | Duty of Care
Whilst we’re confident in our services and the results speak for themselves, but it’s important you’re aware of potential side effects. One of the advantages of having a team of highly trained injectors is that we’re able to recognise, and act on, any possible complication/s if they occur. Furthermore, as part of our Pre & Post Care Experience we discuss such unlikely effects and how we negate and, treat them if they do occur. We aim to make your experience as comfortable, positive and risk adverse as possible. We are here for you!
Please note we don’t treat women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, planning to be pregnant or people who are allergic to the anaesthetic.

Updated AHPRA Guidelines 1 July 2023
Under guidelines released by AHPRA (the Medical Board governing Australia) From 1st July 2023 all patients having cosmetic procedures (surgical and non-surgical) in Australia need to have an assessment as part of the consultation process for incidences of, or a mental health condition such as, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) prior to the procedure. This includes and is not limited to, anti-wrinkle and dermal filler injections are examples of cosmetic non-surgical procedures.
Please be aware that prior to your treatment ALL patients whether regular and seen previously by their injector or not will need to complete an (verbal) assessment as part of the consultation that will be provided and that NO treatments can be performed until after this is completed and the Injector deems you suitable.
We pride ourselves in being ethical providers, and we have always monitored for this disorder even before this new medical board regulation and say no to unnecessary treatments always encouraging good body image and wanting a natural look for our clients.
We appreciate that you may find these new guidelines intrusive, but they are out of our control.
Such measures will be implemented Australia wide and will be performed by every clinic in Australia performing these medical treatments.
As medical professionals our registration is dependent on this being actioned.
We appreciate, and thank you, for your cooperation and understanding.
